TV shows

Hmmm..so tomorrow (actually today) we (my classmates and I) are gonna submit our blogs to our lecturer. Yeahhh, so this might be my last post. Cause if it wasn't for the marks, I wouldn't be on this anyway. I never thought of myself and the blogging type because I really am...how do you say it, kuat ingga. As what you call it in Sarawak. Yes I really am. Haha so sometimes, that feeling prevents me from doing something bad, or good so it has it's pros and cons. Some of you might not know that feeling, but I'm sure that many Sarawakians do.

So anyway, what is this post about? I don't really know myself. I don't know what else to write about, which is why I don't blog, obviously, duh to the max. But in my previous post, I said that I'll talk about my favorite TV shows. Well here goes. It's a long, looongggg list, but I'll try to keep it short, maybe cut some off. 

So, for series, right now I'm currently watching/waiting Pretty Little Liars. As for most series, it is an adaptation of the book though I have never read the book. The story is mainly about a girl, Alison, who went missing for about a year, and finally her body was found in her own backyard. Her four friends, namely Spencer, Aria, Emily, and Hanna is curious to know who killed Alison, knowing that she has so many enemies due to her manipulative and blackmailing ways. However, an unknown organization ( or team) threatens them not to dig deeper about the case of Alison's murder. This organization, is known as A. Currently it's on Season 3 and is still going... You have to watch it if you wanna know.

Other than that, How I Met My Mother is also a favorite of mine. I'm sure most of you guys know this show right? The show mainly consists of the life story of Ted, and his four friends. Barney, Robin, Marshall and Lily. In order for you to follow the story, you need to watch it from Season 1 Episode 1. Cause most of the inside jokes, follow through. YES THIS SHOW IS VERY FUNNY. I find myself rewinding several times during the funny parts.

The series that I had finished watching is.. Gossip Girl! Although some of you might say that it's a girl's show, I disagree. It's a very good show. My favorite character is Blair, cause she's beautiful and cute  and powerful and sexy and I can go on and on Especially during her wedding with Louis, especially beautiful. What I love about her really is her personality. But enough about that, all in all, the series has six seasons. The story is.. basically about gossips (duh the title) but the gossips are catalyzed by a blogger who calls itself Gossip Girl. She/He (Using She/He because I don't wanna spoil anything) writes about the lives of the socialites in the Upper East Side, the secrets, the scandals, everything. So, it is a bit dramatic, so maybe that's why some guys don't watch it.

For movies, Harry Potter is definitely in the top 5. Why? Because the 1st Harry Potter movie started in 2001, when I was 8 and the last one came out in 2011 when I was 18. 10 years for 7 movies. So, you can say that I grew up waiting for the next Harry Potter movie to come out. And when it finally did, my family and I, would go to the cinema, along with my aunt, uncle and cousins. Yes, we did it practically on every Harry Potter movie. It's like a tradition to us. So, when it finally ended in 2011, we were kinda sad...But we still do it sometimes, although very seldom.  

I still have a long list, but I'll just stop here. Cause I wanna sleep. And I'm thirsty. So.. Goodnight!

TODAY WAS LOOONNGGGG DAY. Started officially at 8 in the morning and just got home an hour ago. Seriously. More than 12 hours at campus. Sighhh. Student's life. And half of the time I was trying to stay awake even though I took my daily dose of caffeine. Seriously, the only coffee that really works on me is the coffee they serve at McDonald's in the morning. That thing's powerful. Well, on the bright side, Biology test was ok. Doesn't mean I'm gonna get an A though. Just that it went better than physics. Ok, I'm done ranting.

So.. Favorite thing to do when I have a lot of time to pass? Just the usual..Playing games, reading books, watching television shows. sleeping, eating, the normal stuff. Right now I'm currently hooked on playing the game I talked about on my first entry. Yes. DRAGON NEST. It's basically an MMORPG, but it's not your usual turn-based RPG. It's action RPG. Like, umm, Kingdom Hearts-Birth By Sleep in the PSP. Yeah the play style is very similar with the skills and cooldowns. Yeah, oh and the Dissidia for the PSP is really good as well. Including 012 cause there's Yuna in it. And she can summon, so bitches can go die in the Farplane. Oh, game reference. I'm sure most of you guys wouldn't know about it. pshhh. Booooringgg. Haha ok.

For books, I wrote about what I am reading now, but my favourite book(or rather books) is The Hunger Games Trilogy. I KNOW, some people says it's a rip off of Battle Royale. But in my opinion, I think the 'put the children in an arena and let them kill each other' idea makes much more sense in The Hunger Games. Why? Because it all fits, with the Capitol taking control and the evil president and all. But I don't wanna spoil it to you guys who have not read the book. YES READ THE BOOK NOT WATCH THE MOVIE. The movie...pales in comparison to the book. If you watch the movie, half of the time, it won't make sense to you. Oh, and about Battle Royale...I've never even read the book. HAHAHA. So I guess it isn't really fair to compare. Because it'll be biased. Howeverr... Jennifer Lawrence, who played Katniss(that's the heroine) in the movie, really, really potrays the character well. Andd..it's Jennifer Lawrence. Who doesn't love Jennifer Lawrence?

So yeah, other than The Hunger Games, other series would be the Percy Jackson series. Why? Greek history, or rather Greek Mythology has always intrigued me. So if you ask me, "who are the 13 Olympians", yes I would know all of them. Greek Mythology, is closely related with Roman Mythology, so indirectly I would know them as well. BUT... Roman Mythology is more closely related with the army, the Roman Empire. ( Well I really have no idea) but reading from the books, it's somehow like that with their systems of Praetors, Cohorts, Centurions, Senators etc.

And I'm currently waiting for the latest, which is due out this year September. The House of Hades, I think.

For TV shows, I watch a lot. So maybe the next post cause I have to get on with my physics Lab report. Lots of work to do gahhh. 

English. Why?

YEP. A new post, after a measly 30 minutes or so. Can't really digest what I've been learning so far. Cuz there's too much. I know I said I love biology, but not too that extent. Soo.. Might as well work on my assignment, which I'm enjoying at the moment haha. The wonders of blogging. So...the topic is English. What's English? Well for me, it has 2 meanings. One is the language, while the other is the people. that lives in England.
So what I'm writing about today is the language. Haha. In my opinion, English is very important. No matter what. Why? Cause it's a global language. Another reason? Most blockbusters, record-breaking movies are in English. Same applies to music. For me, English is not my mother tongue. That has always been Bahasa Sarawak (it's not your average Bahasa Malaysia). But English is my second mostly used language. Not Bahasa Malaysia(will be called BM henceforth). Truth is, I'm not really good in BM. Never has been, probably never will. I'm not saying I'm really good in English, it's just that I'm better at it than BM. Just look at my public examination results. Got A's for English in all 3 of my public examination (not showing off ok! its proof!). Where else BM..falls short. Why, you may ask? I grew up with English. Rather than BM. My cartoons are in English, books in English, basically almost everything. And went to school at St Joseph, which is an English based school. ( I think, correct me if I'm wrong).
Therefore, I look up to people with very good English skills. For example, a Malaysian youtuber (her name is Maria Elena), who is very funny. Her English is sooo fluent, and she doesn't even have that accent. I just really love her English. Mok jadi kdak nya. ( Example of Bahasa Sarawak, mind you).
So, what I am saying is, doesn't matter if you're good or bad, as long as you try to improve yourself, you'll get better. Because there is no end to learning. For example, I don't know my grammar. HAHA. If you ask me about grammar, sorry to say, I don't know it as well. Superlatives, pronouns, etc all makes no sense to me. The way I write is by rereading them, and then determine whether it sounds right or wrong. Yeahh, that ability, I got from watching too much TV shows, cartoons. Oh and from books, as well as.. ze internet! So I learnt from those, and still learning.
So, have confidence! Don't let other people's thought bring you down. YOU are your own judge. Others may judge you but that is up to them. Like from what I read somewhere-;

Big minds discuss ideas,

Average minds discuss events,

Small minds discuss people.

Which I really agree. People will judge no matter what, heck I do too. But at least keep it to yourself.

And so we have strayed from the topic haha. Yes. English. Important. 

In the end, I'm not saying BM is not important. IT IS. Especially in this country of mine. I would go and try to make myself better at it, but the thing is.. I'm not in school anymore. I don't have a teacher to correct my mistakes. Even English, my last lesson was last semester. Including this semester, and another 2 to come, I don't have any English lessons. So for MUET, which I'll be taking next semester, I have to study on my own. With the help of TV's and internet and books. *wink* HAHA. In fact, I would love to study other languages, for example, French, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian, Korean, even Tamil. YES I would love to be a multi-lingual guy cuz I know it will help me somewhere in my life. My life-long GOAL. 

So yeah, long post. Suddenly got inspiration. Wish that would happen more often har har. Yeah ok time to sleep bubbye. Its realllyyyyy earllyyyyy. Not really. LATE. GOODNIGHT.

PHYSICS TEST WAS TERRIBLE. But I'm really glad that I don't have to worry about it again. At least not now.. Seriously, feels like the sky's weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Too hyperbolic? Haha not to me at least. I'm not kidding. Ever since high school, physics has always been a problem to me, and it still is right now. I wonder how would I be now if I took a diploma in Engineering? Yes there was a time when I was given a choice to choose whether I want to stay in DIS (thats diploma in science,fyi) or move to an engineering course (chemical specifically). I NEVER WILL REGRET MY DECISION. K I'm done.

Soo.. I have another test tomorrow. today. whatever. Biologyyy! My favourite subject heh. Not because I can do well but because I love the knowledge of knowing what happens in our body and I love studying about animals. That's the only part that I love. The rest is..meh. Especially plants. Plants are sooo...boring.

And I'm boring for talking bout this stuff. Psh.

Ok so what else? Oh yeahh. 1Malaysia voucher! I already spent mine. ALL OF IT. NONE LEFT. haha and to think it expires at the end of May. Well, I shared mine actually, with family members of course. I bought mostly stationaries and two story books. Do you want to know what those books are?No?Yes? I'm sharing anyway. Why? Cuz I can. Mwahaha.

Ok so what was I thinking right? A book about unicorns? And zombies? Really not my cup of tea. Truth is, that's the only book I can find within range of price at the time. But I started reading it, and I have to say, it's quite good. Not good as in must buy and read good, but good as in to waste your time good. It's funny for the most part. And one thing I did NOT expect in the book is profanity. Which makes it a bit more interesting to me. Haha there's seriously quite a lot. So you really can't judge a book by it's cover, or title for that matter. YES. I know, it's very cliche.

That's it for now I guess. Have not finished studying biology so I have to go studyy. I hope my eyes will cooperate. 

Introduction?

Yeah time for an introduction. I'm sitting here probably because I'm supposed to be studying for a physics test I'm having tomorrow (technically today) but instead here I am doing this. YES I am procrastinatinggg. I should be studyinggg. Not blogging. Oh wells.. For the sake of assignment. Haha. K. My intro?

My name is Mohamad Shahrin. From Kuching, Sarawak. Obviously a guy. Looks as good as the display picture on the right har har. Nah just kidding.. I look much better. Went to St. Joseph primary and secondary. And for you guys who don't know, it's an all-boys school. I used to have some issues with girls. Very umm...malu. Ha ha. I still do I think. But I'm all right once I know them. So what else? 20 this year. Omagahhhh twentyyyyy. No more 1 in the front. Just a BIG NUMBER 2. Oh well, 1 year wiser? Am I right? Tell me I'm right... Oh and I'm currently studying in UiTM Samarahan. Taking Diploma in Science. I guess it makes sense to study computer science since I am a Science student. Or is it?!

Back to topic..umm. What else is there. What am I going to be? Hmm maybe a dad? Haha yes. I would love a baby but now's not the right time. Maybe in 5 years time? HEHE. ok so enough of that. I'm not sure what I'll be. I'm not even sure what I'll be taking for my degree. Not thinking about that now. Should be thinking bout physics. Cuz I have a test. Tomorrow. Yep should go.

Hello. I don't usually write blogs, I just read them. But this blog is an assignment, for a course I'm taking called CSC134. Yeah its computer science. Yeah well, first post. Introduction? Maybe on the second post har har cuz it's 3 a.m and i don't know what to write about. What am I doin up at 3 a.m? Well I just finished playing an online game. You can say that I'm addicted to this game. I think my grades are starting to fall because of it. Seriouslyyy. Okay that is all. Oh, and the name of the game is Dragon Nest.
